I'm Not American I'm Not Chinese Who Am I

What is does it mean to classify yourself? Do you get to classify yourself or does society classify you?  What does it mean to be American, Chinese, or any other nationality?

I am adopted from China and was brought up by Cacasians in America. I stand in a position of ambiguity. Growing up I have experienced the idea of being too Americanized to be Chinese but too Chinese to be American. So what does that make me?

Who am I
I don't know
Am I Chinese
I don't know
Am I American
I don't know
Who am I
I don't recognize myself
Did I ever know who I was
Who am I
Who am I to you
I don't know
Who am I
I don't recognize myself
But then again I never did know who I was
